HAPPY FRIDAY, DUDES 8I.
The Woof is a little skinny this week, but sometimes that's just how it is! I've got some stuff planned for the near future so I'll tell you about that. But first, I'd like to remind everyone about
. I fixed it so that it accepts members. Every time I make a group, I forget how to do that. 8I ITS BETTER NOW. Go draw some centaurs with ipods.
I did a journal and asked what kind of tutorial you guys would like. I'm going to be doing an EXPRESSIONS tutorial. Or rather, an 'essay with lots of pictures' about how I personally do them. Here's a really derpy looking preveiw:

This is a small section where I talk about 'face lines' and how they help make expressions stronger.
ART SLAAAAAAAAAAM IS COMIN' UP SOON. Excited. >8I if you haven't signed up, you should. Google it.

And then the heavens opened and there shone a comic about horsie people that was funny, creative, and very well drawn! These characters are a blast. The first few pages are a little rough on the lettering, but as the comic goes on, it improves drastically and is easy to read. I can't get enough of all the interesting poses and clothing these characters have. It's all simple, solid, black and white line work that feels ageless. I haven't finished the comic, but when I do, I fully plan on buying copies of my favorite issues.

SHAMELESS CHARACTER THEME WEEK
Fixing a Hole by The Beatles for JW
Teeth for Deuteronomy by Lady Gaga
Johnny Wander- I. Love. This comic. It's cute and thoughtful and sometimes just straight up hilarious.
Inner Space- A flightless gryphon wakes up inside her own head with little idea of who she is, how she got there, or just how little time she has left before the unthinkable happens!

Since then I have had a HUGE influx of people copying my artwork and posting it online. Most people don't give credit, and a few have even accepted money for these copied drawings. I have to say, this was not my intention when I made the original post, and I'm disappointed by the result.
When you trace or reference someone else's artwork, you are copying their mistakes! Most often this doesn't actually teach you the underlying structure and other information required to draw something. My journal entry in August was meant to hig

COMICS. This week's jam is comics. Draw a strip (or a page, or even a bunch of pages if you like!) with at least two panels in it. Doesn't have to be inked or colored or any of that. Doesn't even need a background or speech bubbles! Just a series of images that tell a story. As with ALL the woof jams, so long as a picture is readable, it's welcome!
Last but not least, what would YOU like to see in the Woof?
